Located in the heart of the CBD, polēpolē is a quintessentially modern Australian-African fusion restaurant. Our food is designed for sharing.

If you’re ever lucky enough to trek up the majestic Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, you’ll no doubt hear the guides repeatedly say “polēpolē”. Literally it means slow. Physically and metaphorically, it’s about taking it easy, and enjoying the moment.

PS. polēpolē is pronounced pol-eh-pol-eh.

Booking Terms & Conditions

1. As a courtesy you agree to contact the restaurant if you have any changes, updates or need to cancel your booking.

2. If we require a credit card pre-authorisation at the time of your booking, nothing will be debited from your card at the time of booking, however if you…
(i) Cancel within 48 hours of your reservation (ii) Reduce your party size within 24 hours of your reservation, (iii) Do not show for your reservation
… A cancellation fee of $30 per guest will be charged.

3. Please note that tables of 9 guests or less are allocated a 2 hour booking window. Bookings of 10 or more guests are allocated 2 hours and 30 minutes. Please contact us on 03 9650 2811 if you require a longer booking time and we will endeavour to accommodate your request.

4. For group bookings of 16 guests or more, please contact us directly. 

5.  polēpolē does not take responsibility in the event of any and all allergic reactions. It is the responsibility of any guest with an anaphylactic allergy to be equipped with an EPI-pen or medical safeguard.

6. Please note that our dining room features a combination of chair and stool seated tables. Please feel free to make a request if you have a preference for either seating format.

7. Any special requests made will be catered for by the venue as best as possible, please contact the venue directly if you require confirmation of your request.

8. Please note polēpolē is located on Level 1, with stair access only.

9. Please note that all card payments incur a 1.5% surcharge.

10. A surcharge of 13.5% applies on public holidays.
